A. Server Information. This section contains information about the machine your server runs on.

A1. Domain Name. Please give the correct Domain name for your server's machine.

A2. IP Address. Please give the correct IP address (matching the Domain name above) for your server.

A3. Hardware Platform. Please describe the Hardware your server is running on (i.e. Processor Class, etc).

A4. System RAM. Give the amount of physical system ram on your machine.

A4. OS Revision: Please give the Operating System name, version, and patchlevel.

A5. Server Revision......: Give the version and patches on your IRC server.

A6. Physical Location.....: Give your City, state/province, country/region (i.e., Dallas, TX; US or London, UK; EU)

B. Server Performance Information.

B1. Type of Connection...: Describe the connection type and bandwidth available to your server.

B2. Current Uptime.......:Give the current uptime information on your server's machine (i.e. the output of the unix uptime command)

B3. Average Uptime.......:Give the average uptime between reboots on your server's machine.

B4. Load Average.........:Give your servers typical CPU load average.

B5. Ping Statistics......:Current hubs are shown on our /map (Dallas* and Lakewood*). Include pings and traceroutes to these hubs.

NOTE: All pings submitted should be 4 1024 byte packets,
i.e., ping -c 100 -s 1024 on Solaris 2.5,
ping -s 1024 100 on others
Include only the min/avg/max times in ms and % packet loss.

C. Machine Administrative Contact

This section contains basic contact information about the administrator of the machine your server runs on.

C1. IRC Nickname: Please give the administrators IRC nickname if applicable or put N/A

C2. *Real Name: Optionally give the real name of Administrator.

C3. E-Mail Address: Give the E-Mail address of the Administator.

C4. *Phone Number: Optionally include the phone number of the Administrator for emergency contact use only.

D. Server Administrative Contact.

This section contains basic contact information for the primary IRC Server Administrator.

D1. IRC Nickname: Please give the administrators IRC nickname and user@host mask

D2. *Real Name: Optionally give the real name of Administrator.

D3. E-Mail Address: Give the E-Mail address of the Administator.

D4. *Phone Number: Optionally include the phone number of the Administrator for emergency contact use only.

E. Information for Esprit.Net

This section contains information about your server that is specific to the Esprit.Net Network.

E1. Requested Name: Give the Esprit.Net server name you would like to use. This should be in the format of:
city.state/province.country.Esprit.Net
as in: Cleveland.OH.US.Esprit.Net

E2. Opers

Please list the nicks and user@host masks of any people you are planning to give O:/o: lines.

Since the Opers are representatives of your server and this net, please select them very carefully.

E3. Reason for Request...: Please give us a detailed reason why you would like to become a member of the Esprit.Net IRC Network.

E4. What you can offer...: Please tell us what you think you can offer Esprit.Net by your becoming a member.

F. Comments.

Include any questions or comments about Esprit.Net or your Server that you would like to add.

Other Notes:

The machine is required to operate 24 hrs a day 7 days a week, with average uptimes of at least one week.

For routing purposes, the servers connect to ports 7070 and 4400, these need to be free on the machine, and appropriate P: lines added in the ircd.conf file.

The admin and opers of the server are expected to visit IRC on at least a daily basis, and be reliable, friendly and cooperative within the context of providing IRC as a service.

If approved, you agree to abide by both past as well as future decisions made by any committee (which might include hubbing, de-hubbing server as net conditions change and new servers come online - this happens fairly frequently, so your current server status is not "guaranteed"). You also agree to abide by any future or past decisions (made by administrators).

Sex and Warez related channels are not permitted on this network. Submission of a completed application implies agreement with all policies and procedures of this network, some described herein, and others in officially released documents of this network, i.e., oper rules, channel service policies, etc...
